John Morphet left school in the 1980s in his native Cumbria to work on his parents’ small caravan park and farm. Following a farming accident he embarked on his own career building a leisure empire and these days he is the owner of the exclusive Royal Westmoreland estate, one of the Caribbean’s most prestigious developments on the coveted Platinum Coast of Barbados. Royal Westmoreland recently clinched the very top award of ‘Best International Golf Development’ at the International Residential Property Awards.
